Edit PDF
Add new text on top of PDF pages with a size and colour you choose and save a new file. It cannot edit or remove the existing text. Runs in your browser.
How to use this tool
- Choose a PDF and pages.
- Type the text, size and colour.
- Click the page outline to place it.
- Add text and download.
Before you start
This tool places new text on top of a page. It does not change the words already in the PDF, so it is best for flat forms, dates, names and short notes. Choose the page, click where the text should go, set the size and colour, and save. For a PDF with real form fields, Fill PDF Form is usually the cleaner choice.
When to use it
- Filling a flat form that has no fields.
- Adding a date, name or note to a page.
- Labelling pages before sharing.
Limits
Adds new text only; it cannot edit existing text and does not remove what is underneath. Latin characters only. Pre-rotated pages are not supported.
Privacy and file handling
Processed in your browser with pdf-lib. Nothing is uploaded.
Troubleshooting
If the text is rejected, remove non-Latin characters.

No. The tool only adds new text over the page. The original text remains underneath.
Is there a better option for forms with fields?
Yes. Use Fill PDF Form when the PDF has real form fields.
Is my file uploaded?
