Merge PDF

Combine several PDF files into one document in the order you choose, and download the merged file. Your files are processed on your device and not uploaded.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose two or more PDFs; the first page of each is previewed when the PDF engine loads.
  2. Drag files to reorder them, or use the arrows; remove any you do not need.
  3. Check the summary of total pages, then select Merge files. You can cancel while it runs.
  4. Download the merged PDF.

When to use it

Limits

Password-protected PDFs are not supported. Up to 50 MB per file and 500 pages in total. Form fields, bookmarks and some metadata may not carry over.

Privacy and file handling

Files are processed on your device with the pdf-lib library, which this site serves itself. Your PDFs are not uploaded.

Troubleshooting

If one file is rejected the message names it. Damaged or encrypted files must be repaired or unlocked elsewhere first.

Frequently asked questions

Can I merge a password-protected PDF?

No. Remove the password first with a tool you are authorised to use.

Can I change the order before merging?

Yes. Reorder the files in the list, then merge. The output follows that order.

Does merging change the original files?

No. The originals stay as they are and you download a new merged PDF.
