QR code generator
Make a QR code image from a web address or any text, with error-correction level and size options, and download it as a PNG. Created on your device.
How to use this tool
- Type or paste a web address or text.
- Choose error correction and size.
- Check the preview.
- Download the PNG.
Before you start
A QR code is just a way of storing text, most often a web address, in a pattern a phone camera can read. Type your link or text, choose the size and the error-correction level and download the PNG. Higher error correction survives smudges and logos better but makes the pattern denser. Print a test copy and scan it with more than one phone.
When to use it
- Linking a poster or flyer to a web page.
- Sharing a Wi-Fi name or short text.
- Adding a scannable link to a printed resume.
Limits
Only plain text and web addresses are supported. Higher error correction makes denser codes. Scan the code with a phone before printing.
Privacy and file handling
Your text is turned into an image on your device and is not uploaded.
Troubleshooting
If the text is too long, shorten it or lower error correction. A generated code does not mean the destination is safe.
Frequently asked questions
Is the QR code safe to scan?
Generating a code says nothing about the destination. Check the link before you share it.
Does a QR code expire?
A QR code made here encodes your text directly and does not expire, but the page it points to can change or disappear.
Is the text sent to a server?
No. The code is generated in your browser. Always check where a code leads before trusting it.
